광주의 가을 하늘 아래, 우리는 광주학생독립운동기념관을 찾았습니다. 이곳은 광주학생운동을 기념하며, 역사의 숨결이 살아 숨 쉬는 곳입니다. 기념관에는 광주 독도체험관도 자리하고 있어 독도에 대한 올바른 정보와 인식을 전하기 위해 다양한 체험을 제공합니다.<br />

우리의 여행은 학생독립운동코스를 따라 이루어졌습니다. 첫 번째 목적지는 광주교였습니다. 3.1운동 만세시위가 열렸던 역사적인 장소입니다. 1919년 3월 10일, 이곳에서는 수백 명이 태극기를 휘날리며 "대한독립만세"를 외쳤습니다. 부동교도 코스의 일부분으로, 당시 천여 명의 학생과 기독교인이 모여 만세 운동에 참여했던 곳입니다.<br />

광주공립고등보통학교(현 광주제일고등학교)는 광주학생운동의 중심에 있습니다. 이 학교의 학생들은 항일 독립운동을 주도하며, 용기 있는 행동으로 역사를 만들어갔습니다. 나주역 사건으로 발발된 광주학생운동은 동맹휴교를 이끌며 전국적인 항일 학생운동으로 퍼져나갔습니다. <br />

광주학생독립운동기념회관은 광주학생독립운동의 역사적 의미를 되새기고, 광주 학생들의 숭고한 자주의식을 기리고자 건립되었습니다.<br />
